Hank Thomas Performace

Hank Thomas began selling racing parts in 1961 when he purchased a parts truck and inventory from Wayne Lambeth who was selling parts out of a mobile truck at Bowman-Gray Stadium. Hank founded Hank Thomas Motors and Speed Parts after visualizing the potential for parts sales to the local racing circuit, and the potential to support his own racing interests. He began selling Frankland and Carrera product lines. Hank was Carrera's first southern distributor.A CAM2 Race Fuel distributor approached Hank in 1979 about an offer to purchase a distributorship while he was at the Metrolina Speedway. CAM2 was owned and refined by Sunoco Race Fuels. An agreement was reached on that Saturday night at the racetrack. On the following Monday, the distributor brought Hank a gas truck full of race fuel, and as they say, the rest is history. Hank Thomas Performance has grown into one of the largest volume Sunoco Race Fuels distributors in the nation, serving approximately 25 racetracks, and a dealer network across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.Hank Thomas Motors and Speed Parts began building racecars in the late 50's. They supplied cars to such notable drivers as Paul Radford, Freddy Query, Max Berrier, Johnny Bryant, and others. In 1996, he discontinued the fabrication operations at his business to focus on other aspects of the business, especially the growing race fuel business. While continuing the tradition started in 1961, Hank Thomas Performance still carries a full line of performance products for the racing industry, including Moroso, Neo, Synthetics, Longacre, RJS Safety Equipment, Goodridge fittings, HANS, and more. We have done special guest appearances on Cruise Control TV, as well as being featured on the show. We have also won Speed TV's Pinks All Out Quick 8 two years in a row. We are the 2010 PTRA Proextreme 4.80 champion. Big Sexy Motorsports belongs to IHRA Top Sportsman and Classic Gassers A Gas. Midtown Sundries was founded on the premise of providing a full-service restaurant and bar to its guests. Each restaurant is an upscale restaurant featuring popular contemporarty themes. The restaurants offer sit-down dining for lunch, dinner, and late night meals. In addition, each location features a full-service bar, a billiard section and many TV's including wide-screens for the viewing of news, special events and primarily sports. All locations offer evening entertainment especially on the weekends, which include karaoke, acoustical music, and full scale local and regional rock-and-roll bands. Midtown Sundries provides its guests with "one-stop-shopping" for food, fun, and entertainment. Several locations have separate dining rooms for private parties and meetings. Over the years locals have voted Midtown "best new restaurant" and "best bar". Luke Caudle, President and owner of Midtown Sundries founded its first restaurant with his brother and partner James "Cliff" Caudle, in the Charlotte, North Carolina area in 1991. Located across from the "Midtown Square Mall" section of Charlotte, hence the name "Midtown", this store was the foundation for growth in select markets. Currently the Midtown Sundries chain consists of four Midtown Sundries locations. While there are many restaurants and bars providing service in the markets in which Midtown Sundries operate, Midtown Sundries is able to maintain a competitive advantage over its competition by providing a little something for everyone. Offering food, fun and entertainment in an atmosphere conducive to having a good time. In the future, Midtown plans to continue to successfully open and operate restaurants in the region as opportunities arise.
